undertaken by the DDA is to promote stability and economic growth while meeting the needs of
businesses and residents.
Expanding our community events and placemaking initiatives in the Historic Downtown Highland
District is aimed at creating a lively and inclusive environment for everyone. With the assistance of
our dedicated sponsors, we can introduce innovative concepts and elevate our current programs,
which will contribute to the continuous economic advancement of the area. Our overarching goal at
the DDA is to ensure stability and economic prosperity through each initiative, addressing the varied
requirements of local businesses and residents.
Approximately 20,000 residents reside in Highland Township, along with over 300 small businesses
within the Historic Highland DDA District. The goal of every event is to provide community
enrichment, and economic development to the businesses and residents within the community.
These events not only showcase the talents and offerings of local businesses but also create
opportunities for people to connect, socialize, and build lasting relationships.
The Historic Highland DDA District serves as a hub of activity, with its charming shops, cozy cafes,
and inviting atmosphere drawing in crowds from near and far. Residents take pride in supporting
these small businesses, knowing that their contributions help fuel the local economy and sustain the
unique character of their community.
Through these shared experiences, residents and businesses alike continue to work hand in hand
towards a common goal of building a stronger, more resilient community. The bonds forged during
these events serve as a testament to the power of community spirit and the endless possibilities that
arise when people come together with a shared purpose.
