Additionally, require that the recipient of the funds promote the County as a primary sponsor and provide an impact report to the Board detailing the sponsorship outcomes, including the number of residents served. Detailed Timeline for Implementation: Founders Day - May 18th, 2024 from 9am to 4pm Red White and Blues Festival - June 29th, 2024 from 5pm to 11pm Tree Lighting/Kris Kringle Market - December 2nd, 2024 from 5pm to 9pm Detail on Funding Partners or Matching Funds: Feldman Automotive has partnered with sponsorship for community events for 2024 providing $4,000.00 and Sniffer Station a local small business has sponsored $1,000.00 Anticipated Impact and Evaluation: To maintain the provision of community events and placemaking programs in the Historic Downtown Highland District, sponsorship is essential. This support will enable the organization to expand its current offerings, introducing new ideas and fostering ongoing economic development within the community. The primary aim of every project undertaken by the DDA is to promote stability and economic growth while meeting the needs of businesses and residents. Expanding our community events and placemaking initiatives in the Historic Downtown Highland District is aimed at creating a lively and inclusive environment for everyone. With the assistance of our dedicated sponsors, we can introduce innovative concepts and elevate our current programs, which will contribute to the continuous economic advancement of the area. Our overarching goal at the DDA is to ensure stability and economic prosperity through each initiative, addressing the varied requirements of local businesses and residents. Approximately 20,000 residents reside in Highland Township, along with over 300 small businesses within the Historic Highland DDA District. The goal of every event is to provide community enrichment, and economic development to the businesses and residents within the community. These events not only showcase the talents and offerings of local businesses but also create opportunities for people to connect, socialize, and build lasting relationships. The Historic Highland DDA District serves as a hub of activity, with its charming shops, cozy cafes, and inviting atmosphere drawing in crowds from near and far. Residents take pride in supporting these small businesses, knowing that their contributions help fuel the local economy and sustain the unique character of their community. Through these shared experiences, residents and businesses alike continue to work hand in hand towards a common goal of building a stronger, more resilient community. The bonds forged during these events serve as a testament to the power of community spirit and the endless possibilities that arise when people come together with a shared purpose.
