INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
The Sheriff’s Office has received a donation/transfer of ownership of a Matrice 30T SP drone combo
and accessories from the Township of Oakland. The drone and accessories have an estimated
value of $12,553. The ongoing cost includes insurance, which will be rebilled to the Sheriff’s Office
through the insurance fund.

To:Oakland County Sheriff's Office
On February 13,2024,the Board of Trustees for the Charter Township of Oakland passed a motion
to purchase a Matrice 30T SP drone combo along with other accessories.Within the motion there
was an agreement to transfer ownership of the drone to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office under
the management of the Sheriff’s Drone Unit assigned full time to the Oakland Township substation.
It is understood that this drone will be subject to use as mutual aid as is every piece of equipment
owned by the Sheriff’s Office.
Motion:
MOTION by Mangiapane supported by Mabry to approve the purchase of the recommended
Sheriff’s office drone unit with a cost of $13,002.00 and transfer the technical ownership to the
Oakland County Sheriff's Department.

The drone and accessories were purchased from NOAR Technologies in the amount of $12,553.00
(Invoice #021424-M30T)on 02/20/2024.
The payment was made bythe Charter Township of Oakland through the following motion -
Motion:
MOTION by Langlois,supported by Mabry to amend account 207-901-980.000 Equipment Purchase
increase that account by $13,000.00 for 2024 with corresponding general fund decrease.
