ITEM CATEGORY SPONSORED BY Other Action Penny Luebs INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND The Oakland County Board of Commissioners has provided for magistrates for the Fifty-Second District Court. The Judges of the Fifty-Second District Court have appointed Richard Strenger, Attorney at law, to serve as a magistrate for the Fifty-Second District Court. The MCL 600.8501(a) provides that magistrate appointments be approved by the County Board of Commissioners. This is a request to approve the hiring of a new magistrate to fill a vacancy.
