STATEMENT OF VOTES CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF HIGHLAND
The whole number of votes given for and against the Put figures in this column
RENEWAL OF MILLAGE FOR MEDICAL AND FIRE SERVICES
Shall the Charter Township of Highland, Oakland County, Michigan be authorized to renew and
levy on all taxable property within the Township for a period of six (6) years (2011 through 2016
inclusive) for the purpose of providing medical and fire services in the Township 1.4372 mills on
each dollar ($1.4372 per $1000) of taxable value as finally equalized pursuant to 33 PA 1951,
as amended.
The estimated revenue to be collected in the first year the millage is authorized and levied is
$1,034,455.08. A small portion of the revenue collected, estimated to be approximately
$22,000, will be required to be distributed to the Highland Downtown Development Authority.
The proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage that has been
reduced to 1.4372 as required by Article IX, Section 31 of the Constitution of the State of
Michigan and does not constitute new additional millage.

LIBRARY MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL
Shall there be a renewal of the expired previously voted increase in charter millage and tax
limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem
taxes within the Charter Township of Highland, Oakland County, Michigan, for said Township in
an amount not to exceed .3250 mill (32 % cents on each $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period
of nine (9) years, 2010 to 2018 inclusive, for the purpose of operating, equipping and purchasing
for the Highland Township Public Library and for all other library purposes authorized by law;
and shall the Township levy such renewal in millage for said purpose; the estimate of the
revenue the Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the Township in the
2010 calendar year is approximately $235,000? A small portion of the revenue collected will be
required to be distributed to the Highland Downtown Development Authority.
