P00003920, P00003921, P00004078, P00007994, P00012288 and P00012290 and creation of one
(1) GF/GP Full-Time Eligible Equalization Assessing Technician Senior position according to the
attached schedule B and amend the FY 2025–2027 budgets as reflected in the attached Schedule
A - Budget Amendment.

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
The Equalization Division has evaluated current staffing needs and vacant positions and is
requesting to delete seven (7) Part-Time Non-Eligible positions to offset the cost of creating one (1)
Full-Time Eligible position.
The operational efficacy of both the Equalization and Assessing teams depends heavily upon the
Office Support team which is composed of Equalization Assessing Technicians. However, the
current staffing levels in this section are deemed inadequate, considering the extensive support
demands emanating from both the Equalization and Assessing teams. The routine obligations
imposed by public engagements frequently divert our Office Support personnel from their essential
daily duties, as well as the imperative tasks mandated by statute.
The introduction of an additional Equalization Assessing Technician is imperative to fortify the Office
Support team’s capacity to fulfill its statutory obligations effectively. We propose to consolidate
seven part-time positions that have been vacant for a period of time, allowing us to better utilize our
budget by creating an environment where we can effectively manage the workload.

OVERVIEW:
The Equalization Division has evaluated current staffing needs and vacant positions. It is requested that the Oakland
County Board of Commissioners approves to delete seven (7) Part-Time Non-Eligible vacant positions P00003919,
P00003920, P00003921, P00004078, P00007994, P00012288 and P00012290 and create one (1) GF/GP Full-Time
Eligible Equalization Assessing Technician Senior position according to the attached schedule B. It is also requested
that the FY25-FY27 budgets be amended as reflected in the attached Schedule A document.
