ITEM CATEGORY SPONSORED BY Interlocal Agreement Penny Luebs INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND The Township of Addison has contracted with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office to provide law enforcement services for the Township (M.R. #2024-4739) and paragraph 29 of the agreement provided that an amendment to this agreement must be approved by a resolution of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and the Township of Addison. This is a request to amend the 2025-2027 Law Enforcement Agreement with the Township of Addison (#4030618) to delete one (1) Deputy II (no-fill) Shared Vehicle position (P00013130) beginning on April 1, 2025 and continuing until the current agreement expires or is terminated. POLICY ANALYSIS Reflective of Amendment #1, the Township of Addison will be contracted to have one (1) Detective Sergeant and six (6) Deputy II (with fill) positions. The attached Exhibit 1 replaces and supersedes the Exhibit A attached to the Agreement beginning on the effective date of this Amendment 1. This Amendment 1 shall take effect on April 1, 2025 and shall continue until the Agreement expires or is terminated. All other provisions in the Agreement not otherwise affected by the attached Exhibit 1 remain in full force and effect. FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual assurances, promises, acknowledgments, set forth in this Amendment 1 and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby execute this Amendment 1 on behalf of the Parties, and by doing so legally obligate and bind the Parties to the terms and conditions of this Amendment 1. PROPOSED FUNDING: Cost Savings to the Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Township of Addison. OVERVIEW: The Township of Addison has requested an amendment to the agreement to delete one (1) Deputy II (no-filled) Shared Vehicle position beginning on April 1, 2025. It is requested that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves and authorizes its Chairperson to sign Amendment #1 to the original Oakland County Sheriff's Office 2025 – 2027 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Township of Addison. It is also requested to delete one (1) GF/GP full time eligible Deputy II position (P00013130) in the Sheriff’s Office, Patrol Services Division, Addison Unit (#4030618). This amendment will take effect April 1, 2025, and continue until the current agreement expires or is terminated. The FY 2025 budget is amended as detailed in the attached Schedule A.
