Motion to authorize the IT Lobby and Courthouse WWE Elevators Buttons and Controls Upgrades in
the amount of $250,033; further, authorize the transfer of funding for the IT Lobby Elevator MOD
and Courthouse WWE Elevators Buttons and Controls Upgrades (PRJ-17889) in the amount of
$250,033 from the Funds identified (40100) to the Project Work Order Fund (#40400) as detailed in
the attached Schedule A-Budget Amendment.

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
The IT Lobby Elevator and Courthouse West Wing Extension (WWE) Elevators will include the
replacement of antiquated equipment, hydraulic components, controls systems, installation of new
control buttons and electronic components, emergency battery back-up, and new sensors providing
compliant and consistent elevator operation.
In accordance with Purchasing Division policies and procedures, Facilities Maintenance and
Operations (FM&O) and the Purchasing Division solicited bids from annual competitively bid and
selected contractors. City Elevator of Michigan, provided the best value bid.
The total project cost is $250,033, including $188,033 for construction, $15,000 for professional
services, $47,000 for contingencies. Funding in the amount of $250,033 is available for transfer
from the FY2025 Capital Improvement Program/Building Fund (#40100) to the Project Work Order
Fund (#40400) for the IT Lobby and Courthouse WWE Elevators Buttons and Controls Upgrades.
