Phone Number (Person Submitting the Form): 248.246.6606 5. Last Name of Sponsoring Commissioner: Powell 6. Project Overview: The Pontiac Community Foundation’s 2025 Annual Impact Summit is a high- profile, community-focused event that brings together civic leaders, donors, residents, and organizational partners to celebrate the Foundation’s accomplishments and share its vision for the future of Pontiac. Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the historic Batch 154 in Downtown Pontiac, the Summit will showcase key initiatives such as M1 Mobility and the Center for Pontiac Entrepreneurship, which aim to address the city’s most pressing challenges. The event is designed to foster collaboration, highlight innovative community investments, and inspire future engagement in revitalizing Pontiac as a thriving place to live, work, and play. 7. Project Type: Event Sponsorship 8. Provide a proposed budget breakdown for the project, including but not limited to the estimated cost of the overall project, and specifically how much you are asking the Board of Commissioners (BOC) to contribute: The Pontiac Community Foundation is seeking sponsorship from the Oakland County Board of Commissioners at the $10,000 “Community Champion” level. This sponsorship will help fund event logistics, venue costs, community participation support, program materials, and media production. While the total event cost is not itemized in this submission, sponsorships at varying levels are available, and the $10,000 contribution would position the Board as a lead community partner. This contribution would directly support the Foundation’s efforts to expand its impact in Pontiac by facilitating a high-quality, inclusive event that engages stakeholders and showcases transformative work in the city. 9. Provide a detailed timeline for implementation of the project: The 2025 Annual Impact Summit will take place on June 4, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Planning and coordination began earlier in the year and will continue through May 2025, culminating in the event itself and followed by post- event reporting and follow-up with sponsors and attendees in June and July. 10. Provide detail on any possible funding partners or matching funds: The Pontiac Community Foundation has engaged a variety of corporate and philanthropic sponsors to support the Annual Impact Summit. The County’s sponsorship would complement these partnerships and enable broader outreach, stronger logistics, and increased community participation in the event. While this request is not a matching grant, it reflects a co-investment model alongside other private and nonprofit contributors. 11. Describe the anticipated impact of the project and how its success will be evaluated: The Annual Impact Summit is expected to engage a wide range of stakeholders and community members, offering transparency about the Foundation’s ongoing efforts while also energizing future collaboration. The event serves as a platform to communicate measurable outcomes from key initiatives, announce upcoming projects, and build trust with the community. Success will be evaluated based on event attendance, diversity of participation, media coverage, and stakeholder feedback. In addition, the Foundation will share a follow-up summary with key partners, including the Board, to highlight the impact of their sponsorship. 12. Include any additional information or supporting documents relevant to the project: The Foundation has provided a formal sponsorship request letter and a detailed sponsorship deck outlining event levels and benefits. The event aligns with the Board of Commissioners’ mission to support initiatives that benefit Oakland County residents and promote collaborative, community- based development. No support from County departments is needed to execute this project. FISCAL IMPACT: No Budget Amendment Needed Committee members can contact Barbara Winter, Policy and Fiscal Analysis Supervisor at 248.821.3065 or winterb@oakgov.com or the department contact persons listed for additional information.
