ITEM CATEGORY SPONSORED BY Interlocal Agreement Brendan Johnson INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND The Rochester Hills-Oakland-Rochester Older Persons’ (OPC) and Oakland County have agreed to Amendment 2026-2 to the Public Transportation Agreement set forth in the attached Amendment, to reflect the acquisition of vehicles and associated costs to expand public transportation services for individuals with disabilities, consistent with the Millage. Specifically, OPC would purchase two (2) used buses and collaborate with SMART to expand transportation services within OPC’s service area. The 2026 Public Transportation Agreement between Oakland County and OPC was approved October 20, 2025 through Resolution #2025-5833 in an amount not to exceed $2,740,775. Amendment 2026-2 would cost an additional $64,000 from the Public Transportation Millage, which would increase the contract’s not to exceed amount to $2,804,775.
