Motion to approve the contract exceptions submitted pursuant to Section 2400.6 of the Oakland
County Purchasing Policy and authorize the extension of existing contracts beyond a five (5) year
term, including a one (1) year contract with Applied Innovation for the Information Technology
Department, and a three (3) year contract with Van Cleve and Associates for the Information
Technology Department in the amount of $13,500.00.

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
In accordance with Section 2400.6 of the Oakland County Purchasing Policy, this item presents a
Contract Exception Report for contracts requiring approval by Miscellaneous Resolution due to
requests to extend existing agreements beyond a five (5) year term. Board policy requires that such
contract extensions be submitted to the Finance Committee for approval. This item is submitted to
ensure continuity of critical systems and services for the Information Technology Department and
the Oakland County Treasurer’s Office; however, approval of this item does not constitute approval
of a budget amendment.
FISCAL IMPACT: No Budget Amendment Needed
