Motion to approve a one-time allotment of $2,500 from the FY 2026 Board of Commissioners’
General Fund Sponsorship line-item budget to sponsor the American Legion Post 14 2026 Blues,
Brews and Cruise Car Show. Further, authorize the Board Chair to execute any required
agreements on behalf of Oakland County. Additionally, require that the recipient publicly promote
the County’s support as a primary Sponsor and submit an impact report to the Board of
Commissioners by the end of the calendar year, detailing the outcomes of the concert series,
including attendance, participation, and the number of Oakland County residents served.

Describe what you are requesting the Board to fund and what the public will receive as a
result.
Sponsorship of Blues, Brews and Cruise Car Show on July 25th. Event open to the public which
allow us to bring awareness of the services that the Legion offers. The American Legion is a service
organization, advocating for veterans, service members, and military families while fighting to end
veteran suicide. Legion members are active participants in the Be The One initiative. This initiative
is to reduce the number of veterans and service members lost to suicide. Our goal is to reduce the
stigma associated with mental health treatment, providing free suicide prevention training and
empowering everyone to take appropriate action when a veteran or service member may be at risk
– one life at a time.

10,000 will fund the event, including set up, bands, resources. Cost to the legion.

Oakland County veterans will benefit from services offered from Be the One Initiative. General
public will become aware of programs and needs for veterans.

deliverables and measurable public outcomes.
Recognition - logo's - sponsorship of event.
If this request includes improvements to property not owned by Oakland County, please
explain who owns the property, who will control and maintain the improvements, and how
the public will have continued access to the benefit funded by the County.

We are able to count attendance. After time, we will see how many people were able to use our
