STATEMENT OF VOTES
HURON VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
The whole number of votes given for and against the OPERATING MiLLAGE PROPOSAL EXEMPTING
PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE AND QUALIFIED AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY
This proposal will enable tne school district to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property except
principal residence and Quaffed agricultural property required for the school district to receive its revenue
per pupil foundation allowance.
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, exempting
therefrom principal residence and qualified agricultural property as defined by law, in Huron Valley School
District, Oakland and Livingston Counties, Michigan, be increased by 2 mills ($2.00 on each $1,000.00 of
taxable valuation) for a period of 7 years, 2006 to 2012, inclusive, to provide funds for operating
purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied
in 2006 is approximately $207,000 (this rnillage is to restore millage lost as a result of the reduction
required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and will be levied only to the extent necessary to restore
that reduction)?

The whole number of votes given for and against the LIBRARY OPERATING MILLAGE PROPOSITION
Section 31 of Article IX of the State Constitution of 1963, the "lleacliee" amendment, has reduced voter
authorized millage for Library operations from 1_0000 to 0.7611 of a mill. This ballot proposition, if
approved, will restore 0.2389 of a mill to the Township to be levied for Township Library operating
purposes.
Shall the Charter Township of Milford, County of Oakland, Michigan be authorized to levy the original
1.0000 mik by adding 0.2389 of a mill on each dollar ($0.2389 oer $1,000) of taxable value of all property
in the Township, thereby allowing the levy of statutory authorized mikage for general purposes in excess
of the limit to which it was reduced by Section 31 of Article IX of the State Constitution of 1963, all of
which tax revenues will be disbursed to the Milford Township Library Board for genera operating
purposes?
The increase would raise the sum of approximately $204,562.00 in 2006.

Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within the Charter Township of Milford which has
been reduced by the required Headlee Amendment rollback to 3.0417 mills be renewed with no increase
for a total of 3.0417 mills ($3.0417 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of ten (10 years, 2008
through 2017, inclusive, and the funds thereby derived to be used for police services for the Charter
Township of Milford, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $2,704,900.00?
