The whole number of votes given for and against the POLICE PROTECTION MILLAGE
Shall the Charter Township of Oakland be authorized to levy up to two (2) mills for a period of five years starting
with the December 2000 levy, for the purpose of providing funds for police protection in the Township, including
adequate staffing? Approval of this proposal would authorize a tax limitation increase of $2.00 per $1,000 of the
taxable value of all taxable property in the Township. It is estimated that this proposal would result in the
authorization to collect $1,333,601 in the first year if approved and levied.
