Attached are the results of the canvass of local issues for the Orion Township Library
Bond Proposal, Safety Path Millage Renewal Proposition, and Safety Path Bond
Proposition, as determined by the Local Board of Canvassers at their meeting held at 1:00
p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Orion Township Hall.

We, the duly appointed members of the Local Board of Canvassers for the Charter
Township of Orion, having ascertained and canvassed the votes for the Charter Township
of Orion for the General Election held Tuesday, May 8, 2007, do hereby certify the
attached results to be true and accurate:

LIBRARY BOND PROPOSAL
Shall the Charter Township of Orion, County of Oakland, Michigan, borrow the principal sum of
not to exceed [Nineteen Million Dollars ($19,000,000)], payable in not to exceed twenty (20)
years from the date of issue, and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds for the purpose
of paying the cost of acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping a renovation and
expansion of the Orion Township Public Library? The estimated millage to be levied in the first
year that the levy is expected to be authorized (2007) is [0.355 mil ($0.355 per $1,000 of taxable
value) and the estimated simple average annual rnillage rate required to retire the bonds is 0.616
mill ($0,616 per $1,000 of taxable value)]

TOWNSHIP SAFETY PATH MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSTION
Shall the previous increase in the charter township tax limitation upon the total amount of
general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in
any one year under Michigan law be renewed for the Charter Township of Orion, Oakland
County, Michigan, at a rate of 0.2382 mills (which is equal to $0.2382 per $1,000 of taxable
value of all such property) for a period of 20 years, 2008 through 2027, inclusive, for the purpose
of paying for ongoing construction and maintenance of safety paths and trails in the Charter
Township, including payment of debt service on obligations issued for such purpose? The
proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage. The amount of revenue the
Charter Township of Orion will collect if the proposed millage is approved and levied by the
Charter Township in the first calendar year is estimated to be $442,533. A portion of the
revenue from the millage will be disbursed to the Orion Downtown Development Authority.
The amount of revenue from such millage to be disbursed to such authority in the first calendar
year of the levy is estimated to be $7,979.

SAFETY PATH BOND PROPOSTION
Shall the Charter Township of Orion, Oakland County, Michigan, borrow an amount not to exceed Seven
Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($7,850,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax
bonds therefor in one or more series for the purpose of paying the costs of constructing approximately
nine (9) miles of additional safety paths and trails to complete unfinished sections on several main roads
in the Charter Township? The maximum number of years the bonds may be outstanding, exclusive of
refunding, is 20 years; the estimated millage that will be levied to pay the proposed bonds in the first year
that the levy is authorized is 0.2616 mills (which is equal to $0.2616 per $1,000 of taxable value of real
and personal property in the Charter Township of Orion); and the estimated simple average annual
millage that will be required to retire the bonds is 0.2614 mills.
