The whole number of votes given for and against the ROSE TOWNSHIP NEW FIRE MILLAGE TO INCLUDE
REVENUES TO BE USED FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE SERVICES
Shall he 15 mili tax Emlation imposed under Article lX, Sec, 6, Of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within
Rose Township be increased ty 1.5 mills ($1 50 per $1,000 of taxaole value) for the period cf 2000 taroJgh 2009 inclusive for tie
curpose of fire protection services ncluding but not limited to construction of facilities, operational costs of fire protection. aid
maintenance and improvement of equipment and facilities, and fw the purpose of funding ambulance services arid related
emergency medical response services: and shall the Township levy such increase in miliage for such purposes during such
period, which increase will raise in The first year of such levy an estimated $247,477.00.
EXPLANATION OF MILLAGE PROPOSAL:
In 1990, the voters of Rose Township approved a 1 1/3 mill levy for a ten-year perm', for fire protection services aid facilities. The
millage for fire protection has expired. The current proposal is requesting voter aurthorization of 1.5 mils for a peiod of 10 years
for the purpose of providing fire protection services and for the additional purpose of funding ambulance services and related
emergency medical response services,
