The meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. and Alva Weninger was appointed Chairperson.
Duties of the Canvassing Board were reviewed by Clerk Betty Fortino and then discussed by the
Canvassing Board.
All vote totals were reviewed and tallied. Local issues on the August 4, 1998 Primary Election
Ballot included two proposals on the ballot.
POLICE AND FIRE MILLAGE
Shall the Charter Township of Waterford , Oakland County, Michigan,
borrow a sum of money not to exceed $14,000,000.00 and issue its
general obligation bonds for the purpose of defraying the cost of
acquiring, constructing, equipping and furnishing buildings and
improving the building sites for the charter township's fire and police
departments?
