The meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. Deputy Clerk Karen Macintosh
reviewed the duties of the canvassing board with its members. The Board then
reviewed and tallied the results, and prepared a statement of votes.
The following local millage results were declared:
BALLOT PROPOSALS FOR AUGUST 6, 2002 PRIMARY ELECTION
ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall the authorized charter millage within the Charter Township of
Waterford be increased for the Township by .63 Mills ($0.63 per $1,000 of taxable
value) upon taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township for
the period of 2002 through 2011 inclusive (for fiscal years 2003 — 2012), said funds
to be used by the Fire Department in providing Paramedic Life Support,
operations, increased staffing, and purchasing of equipment for the Fire
Department; and shall the Township levy such increase in millage for said
purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $1,374,197.58?

RENEWAL OF LIBRARY MILLAGE PROPOSAL
Shall the existing authorized charter millage within the Charter Township of
Waterford be renewed at 0.9302 Mills ($0.9302 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) upon
taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township for the period of
2002 through 2011, inclusive (for fiscal years 2003-2012), said funds to be used by
the Township Library Department for the maintenance, operation and expansion
of the Township Library; and shall the Township levy such renewal in millage for
said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $2,029,013.64?
