The whole number of votes given for and against the OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL
EXEMPTING PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE AND QUALIFIED AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY
This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property
except principal residence and qualified agricultural property required for the school district to receive its
revenue per pupil foundation allowance.
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, exempting
therefrom principal residence and qualified agricultural property as defined by law, in Clarkston
Community Schools, Oakland County, Michigan. be increased by 19.2491 mills ($19.2491 on eacn
$1,000.00 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years. 2006 to 2015, inclusive, to provide funds for
operating purposes; if approved, the estimate of the revenue from 18 mills of the above increase the
school district will collect the first year of levy, 2006, is approximately $7,600,000 (18.7491 mills of the
above is a renewal of rnillage which expired with the 2005 tax levy and .5 mill is additional millage to
restore millage lost as a result of the reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963)?

Shall Holly Area School District, Oakland County, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Twenty
Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($20,400,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax
bonds therefor. for the purpose of:
erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to and remodeling, refurnishing and re-equipping school
district buildings; acquiring and installing educational technology improvements; and developing and
improving playgrounds and sites?
The following is for informational purposes only:
The estimated millage that will be levied for the proposed bonds in 2006, under current law, is 1.16 mills
($1.16 on each $1 .000 of taxable valuation). The maximum number of years the bonds may be
outstanding, exclusive of any refunding, will not exceed twenty-six (26) years. The estimated simple
average annual millage anticipated to be required to retire this bond debt is 1_09 mills ($1,09 on each
$1,000 of taxable valuation).
If the school district borrows from the State to pay debt service on the bonds, the school district may be
required to continue to levy mills beyond the term of the bonds to repay tne State.
(Pursuant to State law, expenditure of bond proceeds must be audited, and the proceeds cannot be used
