The whole number of votes given for and against the CHARTER PROPOSITION in this column
1. Shall Section 3.3 and 3.5 of the Charter of the Village of Beverly Hills be
amended to read as follows: ELECTION DATES: Section 3.3. A regular Village
election shall be held on the second Monday in March of each year commencing in 1992.
ELECTIVE OFFICERS AND TERMS OF OFFICE: Section 3.5. The elective officers of the
Village shall be a Village Council of 7 members. One of said council members shall
. in turn be elected by the Council as Village President. At each re ular annual
Village election 3 or 4 councilpersons shall be elected on a single ballot. Each
elector shall be entitled to vote for not more than 3 or 4 candidates. All terms
shall commence on the Monday next following the election. Depending on the number
of available council terms the 3 or 4 candidates receiving the highest number of
votes shall be elected to a 2 year term for the office of councilperson. This
provision shall commence in March of 1990. To implement this provision, the 3
council candidates who receive the highest number of votes out of the 7 candidates
at the 1990 Village election shall be elected to terms ending with the 1993 regular .
Village election. The remaining 4 council candidates shall be elected to 2 year
terms ending with the 1992 Village election.
