CHARTER AMENDMENT I
The proposed Amendment to Section 4 would change deadlines for filing nominating petitions from
the seventh Tuesday to the twelfth Tuesday prior to the election, This Amendment would make the
Charter consistent with State law,
Shall the Birmingham Charter, Chapter IV, Registrations, Nominations and Elections, Section 4, be
amended to be consistent with state law standardizing filing deadlines for candidates for public
office?

CHARTER AMENDMENT II i
The proposed Amendment to Section 12 would bring the City's election ballots into compliance with
State Ballot Production Standards whereby voters are required to darken an oval instead of
checking a square to cast their vote for a candidate or issue. This Amendment would make the
Charter consistent with state ballot standards.

amended to be consistent with the State of Michigan Ballot Production Standards related to Optical
Scan Ballots?
