Regular Board of Trustees Meeting Budget Workshop was called to order at 6:48 p.m. Roll Call: Present – Rick Hamill, Tami Flowers, Judith A Cooper, Brian Howe, Mary Pat Chynoweth, Mary L. McDonell and Joseph Salvia Visitors: 8 Approval of Agenda - approved Consent Agenda Approval - Minutes – October 11, 2017 Board of Trustees Meeting – approved as corrected. Receive and File: Financial Report – September 2017 and Treasurer’s Report – September 2017 Announcements and Information Inquiry: a) Trick or Treat Hours are 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on October 31st. b) Township Offices Closed Friday, November 10, 2017 in Observance of Veterans’ Day c) Dedication of Flags will take place on Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans’ Park which is located at the corner of N. John Street and W. Livingston Road. Following the dedication a brief Veterans’ Day Ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. d) Public Comment – Residents commented regarding the budget. Announced Cliff Priestley, unofficial Mayor of Clyde, passed away. Mr. Howe welcomed two previous Board Members, Chuck Dittmar and Russ Tierney that were in attendance at the meeting. Fire Chief Chapman acknowledged the passing of 3 firefighters during a burn on October 25, 1987. Mr. Howe thanked the Fire Chief for remembering those fallen. Discussion between a resident and Board Members regarding hazardous waste expense. Pending Business: a) Budget Workshop – Revenues and expenditures for the 2018 budget were reviewed and discussed. b) Weigh Master Position – Requesting proposal for Weight Master Position from Oakland County Sheriff’s Department – approved. List of bills – approved with add-ons Public Comment Elected officials commented on the negative impact of the changes in compensation package for elected officials. There is a need for more discussion. Mr. Howe announced Lakeland football playoffs are Friday. Mrs. Chynoweth thanked people in audience for attending.
