HomeMy WebLinkAboutInterlocal Agreements - 2018.02.21 - 6990Page 2 of 9 Tuesday, February 13, 2018 Regular Township Board of Trustees Meeting ITEM 1:2-13 APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION by Sovel, supported by Magner, to approve the February 13, 2018 Agenda. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY ITEM 2:2-13 PUBLIC COMMENTS Supervisor Scott introduced Christine Long, County Commissioner. Kenneth Feld, Lake Sherwood Subdivision, 4539 Ravinewood Dr, was present to remind the Township Board about his sewer hookup project that was done incorrectly in 2012, when abandonment of his failed septic field was also performed. He stated that in mid-2017 he offered his suggestions to the Township Board on how to improve this process to ensure work is done correctly. He stated his suggestions were ignored and he received a letter from the Township thanking him for his interest and advised him the matter is closed. He again offered his time to discuss how the process can be made better which will benefit all of the residents of the Township. Chris Hill, 8497 Edgewood Park Drive, would like the Township Board to consider extending the 60 or 90 day window to a 6 month window to reserve a meeting room for non-profit organizations and homeowners associations in the Commerce Richardson Community Center Policy. He said homeowners associations are required to send out a mailing notice to residents in their subdivision in advance of the meeting date. ITEM 3:2-13 BOARD APPOINTMENTS A. Barbara Rosman, Reappointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3 Year Term expiring 3-31-2013. Barbara Rosman was present. Supervisor Scott said she is eager to continue serving the Township and has a 94% attendance rate for the Zoning Board of Appeals meetings. MOTION by Sovel, supported by Magner, to reappoint Barbara Rosman to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3 year term expiring 3-31-2021. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY ITEM 4:2-13 CONTRACT AWARDS AND AGREEMENTS A. 2018-2021 Fire Dispatch Service Agreement Between the County of Oakland and the Charter Township of Commerce Fire Chief Jim Dundas was present. Trustee Berkheiser asked if the Township has any other options other than to sign the agreement. Fire Chief Dundas answered no. MOTION by Sovel, supported by Phillips, to approve the 2018 - 2021 Fire Dispatch Service Agreement between the County of Oakland and the Charter Township of Commerce and authorize the appropriate signatures. As required by Urban Cooperation Act 7 of 1967 - MCL 124.510(4), a copy of the signed agreement with the County of Oakland and the Township of Commerce and the authorizing Board of Commissioners Resolution are enclosed for filing by your office.
