Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin, Jacobsen, Middleton, Potter, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (11) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Capello, Long. (2) Quorum present. Jim Ryan and Rebecca Bechler of PAA addressed the Caucus during public comment. Judy Cunningham, Corporation Counsel, introduced Dean Nessbaumer of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He addressed the Caucus regarding the law library. Moved by Scott supported by Taub the minutes of the July 30, 2009 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus. Democratic Commissioner Greimel introduced two proposed resolutions entitled Board of Commissioners – Requiring Oakland County to Participate in the Federal E-Verify Program and Board of Commissioners – Support for the Continuation of the State Fair. Commissioner Taub introduced a proposed resolution regarding substance abuse. George Miller, Director of Health and Human Services, addressed the Caucus. Commissioner Bullard addressed the Caucus regarding moving items from the Consent Agenda to the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Taub addressed the Caucus regarding her resolution and wanted to suspend the rules and add her resolution to the General Government Committee.
