REPUBLICAN CAUCUS MINUTES
April 22, 2010
Meeting called to order by Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen at 8:30 a.m. in the
Courthouse Committee Room A, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Capello, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin,
Jacobsen, Long, Middleton, Potter, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (13)
EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: None. (0)
Quorum present.
Moved by Taub supported by Middleton the minutes of the March 25, 2010 Republican Caucus be
approved.
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved.
Executive Officer Dan Stencil of Oakland County Parks and Recreation gave a presentation regarding
Urban Recreation Initiative.
David Malloy, Novi Police Chief, and Bob Daddow, Deputy County Executive, addressed the Caucus
during public comment.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda.
Democratic Commissioner Nash introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners -
Recognizing Historic Preservation Month.
Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners - Support for Reinstating Audette Cadillac Inc’s, Cadillac Franchise.
Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen stated that Democratic Commissioner Marcia
Gershenson will introduce a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road
Improvement Program Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriation – Village of Bingham Farms.
Democratic Commissioner Janet Jackson introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – National Lab Day in Oakland County.
Waterford Police Chief Dan McCaw, Deputy County Executive Bob Daddow and Undersheriff Mike
McCabe addressed the Republican Caucus regarding CLEMIS.
The Republican Caucus adjourned at 9:43 a.m. until May 5, 2010, at 6:00 p.m.
