REPUBLICAN CAUCUS MINUTES
May 20, 2010
Meeting called to order by Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen at 8:46 a.m. in the
Courthouse Committee Room A, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin, Jacobsen,
Long, Middleton, Potter, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (11)
EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Capello, Potts. (2)
Quorum present.
Moved by Gosselin supported by Douglas the minutes of the May 5, 2010 Republican Caucus be
approved.
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved.
No one addressed the Caucus during public comment.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda.
Democratic Commissioner Tim Greimel introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – Resolution in Support of Senate Bill 395 to Make the Process by Which to Appeal
Property Tax Assessments Fairer. Commissioner Greimel addressed the Caucus and answered
questions.
Democratic Commissioner Eric Coleman introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – 2010 Observance of National Missing Children’s Day on May 25th and the “Take 25”
Initiative.
Republican Commissioner Shelley Taub introduced a proposed resolution entitled Sheriff’s Office –
Marine Patrol Services Agreement in the City of Orchard Lake Village 2010.
Republican Commissioner Michael Gingell introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – Resolution in Support of House Bill 6092 to Increase Oakland County’s Share of
Watercraft Registration Fees.
Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus.
The Republican Caucus adjourned at 9:03 a.m. until June 9, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.
