Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Douglas, Gosselin, Jacobsen, Long, Middleton, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (10) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Capello, Gingell. (2) Quorum present. Moved by Taub supported by Scott the minutes of the July 22, 2010 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Commissioner Bill Bullard, Jr. addressed the Caucus during public comment and introduced Philip J. Weipert, candidate for County Commissioner District #8. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Democratic Commissioner Tim Greimel introduced two proposed resolutions entitled Board of Commissioners – Resolution in Support of HB 4580 to Require School Districts to Adopt a Comprehensive Anti-Bullying Policy; and Board of Commissioners – Resolution in Support of HR 5297 to Ensure that Small Businesses have Access to Capital. Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen asked Commissioner Greimel questions about his motion to discharge Miscellaneous Resolution #09128 – Board of Commissioners – Incorporating “Buy Oakland; Buy Local First” Policy in Purchasing Procedures from the Finance Committee. Commissioner Shelley Taub introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Designating September 11-17, 2010, as Michigan Patriot Week in Oakland County. Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen introduced two proposed resolutions entitled Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road Improvement Program Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriation – Brandon Township Gravel Road Program Project No. 50572; and Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road Improvement Program Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriation – Addison Township Gravel Road Program Project No. 50542. August 4, 2010 901 Commissioner Bill Bullard, Jr. addressed the Caucus and asked Judy Cunningham, Corporation Counsel, to answer questions regarding Commissioner Coulter’s motion to discharge Miscellaneous Resolution #09129 - Board of Commissioners - Authorizing Intergovernmental Transfer to Expand Access to Health Care for Oakland County Residents, and Contracting Administration of County’s Indigent Hospitalization Program with Oakland Health Plan, Inc.
