REPUBLICAN CAUCUS MINUTES
November 3, 2010
Meeting called to order by Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen at 6:21 p.m. in the
Courthouse Committee Room A, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin, Jacobsen,
Long, Middleton, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (11)
EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: (0)
ABSENT: Capello. (1)
Quorum present.
Moved by Runestad supported by Scott the minutes of the October 21, 2010 Republican Caucus be
approved.
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved.
Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Commissioner Gosselin addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Republican Chairmen, of 9th Congressional, Glenn Clark, addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Director of Management & Budget, Laurie VanPelt addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Newly Elected Republican County Commissioner(s), Mike Bosnic District #19; and Philip Weipert District
#8; addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Commissioner Bullard introduced County Road and Parks Commissioner, Richard Skarritt, who
addressed the Caucus during public comment.
Mayor of the City of Pontiac, Leon Jukowski addressed the Caucus during public comment regarding a
proposed resolution entitled Sheriff’s Office – Contract for Law Enforcement Services in the City of
Pontiac.
Discussion Followed.
Democratic Commissioner Coleman addressed the Caucus during public comment regarding two
proposed resolutions entitled – Board of Commissioners – Minority and Women Business Enterprises,
and Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Re-Affirmation and Implementation of the Policy to Ban
the Purchase and Use of Styrofoam (Polystyrene Foam) in Oakland County Facilities.

The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda.
Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen addressed the Caucus regarding the department memo, and
announced a calendar of events.
The Republican Caucus adjourned at 6:41 p.m. until November 18, 2010, at 8:30 a.m.
