Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Nuccio, Potts, Runestad, Taub, Weipert. (12) ABSENT: Gingell, Middleton, Scott. (3) Quorum present. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Moved by Nuccio supported by Dwyer the agenda be amended as follows: ITEMS NOT ON AGENDA  Approval of minutes from January 18, 2011 Republican Caucus Meeting  Public comment A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the agenda, as amended, was approved. No one addressed the Caucus during public comment. Moved by Crawford supported by Bosnic the minutes of the January 18, 2011 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Oakland County Corporation Counsel, Judy Cunningham addressed the Caucus to give a presentation on the Open Meetings Act. Discussion followed with questions and answers. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to review the courthouse tour, and announce the jail tour that will take place on March 22, 2011. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #11029 entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for the Formation of an Interim Regional Management Committee to Oversee the Management of the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant to Ensure Compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act. Discussion followed with comment by Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson. Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. February 15, 2011 91 Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #11033 entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for the Detroit River International Crossing; Miscellaneous Resolution #11030 entitled Board of Commissioners – Resolution Supporting the Preservation and Protection of the Michigan Earned Income Tax Credit and Miscellaneous Resolution #11032 entitled Board of Commissioners – Encouraging all Eligible Families to Apply for the Federal and Michigan Earned Income Tax Credit. Discussion followed with comment by Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding an illegitimate Facebook account in her name. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding attending Road Commission meetings. Commissioner Nuccio addressed the Caucus regarding the Walk for Warmth. Discussion followed. Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus regarding the Michigan Government scorecard, the Democratic Party meeting, and County Commissioner District lines. Discussion followed with questions. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to bring attention to an Oakland Press article regarding the Earned Income Tax Credit. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to commend County Departments on interdepartmental cooperation. Discussion followed with comment by Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson. Commissioner Dwyer addressed the Caucus regarding the E-Newsletter. Discussion followed. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus stating that there is (two) Kathy Crawford’s in the Oakland County Microsoft Outlook Database, one in Parks and Recreation and her, and in order to assure she receives any emails that’s addressed to her the correct email is Crawfordka@oakgov.com .
