Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Nuccio, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub, Weipert. (15) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: (0) Quorum present. No one addressed the Caucus during public comment. Moved by Weipert supported by Matis the minutes of the February 9, 2011 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus regarding the proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Department of Information Technology – Position Deletions that he will be referring to the Human Resources Committee; and a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Facilities Management – Jail Chiller Replacement Project that he be will adding under the Finance Committee on the Regular Agenda. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the amendments on Miscellaneous Resolution #11004 entitled Board of Commissioners – 2011 Women’s Advisory Council for Oakland County. Discussion followed. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus regarding a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Facilities Management – Courthouse Chiller Repair Project and to inform the Caucus that there will be a Finance Committee meeting prior to the Board meeting. Discussion followed. Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus regarding the bidding/vendor process. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus. Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. February 17, 2011 93 Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus regarding previously adopted Miscellaneous Resolution #11017 entitled Public Services Department/Animal Control Division Reorganization; and will move to amend on the floor under New and Miscellaneous Business during the Board Meeting. Deputy County Executive Phil Bertolini addressed the Caucus regarding the Wireless Oakland program for public libraries. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the following upcoming events: Jail Tour on March 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.; Youth in Government Event on April 14, 2011 and Economic Luncheon on April 28, 2011. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to provide the Commissioners with the Hotline number to the Oakland County Housing Counselors (248 858-1891) for their constituents that may have questions regarding mortgages and/or foreclosure concerns. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus to discuss the Tax Assessment meeting in Novi that she and Commissioner Weipert attended and how pleased they were with Deputy County Executive Phil Bertolini and staff presentation. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus to pass out free passes to the Suburban Collection, formerly Rock Financial Center as an incentive to support local entrepreneurs and businesses. Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus regarding Governor Snyder’s state budget proposal. Discussion followed with comment by Jim Ryan from Lansing.
