and mileage reimbursement at the applicable County rote."

WHEREAS the General Government Committee has reviewed Sec. 12 (a) of Act 156, P.A. 1851,
as amended; and

.LegiSlatore take action to amend Section 12 (a) subsection (14) of Act 156 of the Public Acts of 1851,
an amended, as stated above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution he sent to the County's State Legis-
lators and the County Legislative Agent.

IN RE: RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION - LAKELAND HIGH SCHOOL BAND
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Lakeland High School Band, White Lake Township, composed of 140 members including
the flag corps and the drum major, have been organi/ed since 1974; and
WHEREAS the Lakeland High School Band tinder the iii red ion of Barney Smith has been choseo
from the State of Michigan to participate in the ,luitior Orange Bowl iii Coral Gables, Florida, and in
the King Orange Jamboree Parade in Miami, liorida; and
WHEREAS the Lakeland High School Band has achieved hand honour, in 1975 it the Wyandotte
independence Celebration, Union Lake Paul Runyan Dry. celebration, Farmington Founders Day Parade,
and will be appearing in Shelby Township and participating. in the 1976 Traverse City Cherry Festival;
and
WHEREAS the spirit, cooperation and winning teamwork displayed by the Lakeland High School
Band is exemplary of community involvement and pride within the student body.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby commends
the Lakeland High School Band and director, Barney Smith, for their performances and achievement of
high honors.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto affixed our signatures and caused the Seal of the
County of Oakland to be affixed this 6th day of May, 1976.

IN RE: MEMORIAL RESOLUTION - HONORING DAVID LEVINSON
David Levinson, a former menther of this Board, passed away on April 27, 1976, at the age of
80 year's following a long illness. He was a life-long resident of Oakland County, having resided at
2150 Northlawn in Birmingham, Michigan.
He was appointed to the Oakland County Board of Supervisors in 1933 and served consecutively

Dave Levin ,,on attended Oakland County schools and w„.1s 1trodu6ted from the Univen,ity of
Michigan. He Was a member of the Master Apprisers institute, American Institut of Apprai..ers and
the Real Estate. Appraisr..rs. His Club affiliations included the lids t.odge, ilwrric.61 Legion ,m„f -1e
Birmingham E.chanqe. HP was a former Trustee of Camp Oakl:ind .1nd of Oakland University.
He is survvGd by his widow, Marie; son, Berrd M. danghtri-in-law, Mary Ellen, grandsons,
John, David and Richard; brother, H. Y.; and sister, Mr ,— Saul R. Levin.
Dave Levinson Wa , 8 leader, humanitarian and gave unselfiOilv of his time and resources in
the interests of all of the citizens of our comunity. He will be long remembered by all who have
been privileged to know him.
Mr. Chairman, 1 move that the foregoing resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meet-
ing and that a certified copy, affixed with the Seal of the County of Oakland, be Forwarded to the
surviving wife Marie and son Bernard.

Chairman Alexander C. Perinoff stated that due to an error in 1.1 -q, drafting or Resolution
No. 7534 Nutrition Plan Development, passed by the Board April 29, 1976, he requested thar the
County Executive not sign said resolution but return to the Board of Commisloners for execution
of the proper reolation, and the County Executive has agreed to do so.

Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the report of Oakland County Nutrition Public Hearings held in October, 1975 was
presented to the Human Resources Committee on March 23, 1976; and
WHEREAS your Committee reviewed these findings again on April 27, 1976 and moved to
recommend that the Oakland County Board or Commissioners authorize development of a plan to eradft.,lio
malnutrition in Oakland County; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency develop A
plan to eradicate malnutrition in Oakland County in cooperation with other agenciet, concerned with
rolnutrition; and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency in coalition with
othi.m agencies present its plan to the Huni,n1 Resources Committee within 120 day': of ils lormation;
and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED fh„lt such plan would include specific proposals for nriorit irpd do.1 ion

WHEREAS there will be a vacancy for the position of Federal and State Aid Coordinator; and
WHEREAS it would he advantageous to transfer the duties of said position to another existing
position so as to effectuate 3 budget savings,
NO)w THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the existing position of Federal and State Aid Coordinator
be eliminated from the 1976 Budget and that the duties of said Federal and State Aid Coordinator be
transferred to the Director of Special Projects or to another existing position.
