Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Long, Matis, Middleton, Nuccio, Potts, Scott, Taub, Weipert. (13) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Runestad. (1) ABSENT: Hoffman. (1) DEMOCRATIC COMMISSIONER PRESENT: Woodward. (1) Quorum present. Moved by Crawford supported by Middleton the minutes of the July 21, 2011 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Administrative Director Program & Operations Analyst, James VerPloeg. Administrative Director Program & Operations Analyst, James VerPloeg addressed the Caucus to give an update on the Friend of the Court grievance; he also presented a proposed emergency action security plan. Discussion followed. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the suspension list for Public Services item b., a Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Circuit Court – FY2011 – FY2012 Adoption Incentive Grant – Application/Acceptance to be added to the Consent Agenda. She also stated that a Memoriam Proclamation for Betty Fortino will be added to Communications. Commissioner Weipert addressed the Caucus regarding Planning and Building on the Regular Agenda, item c.: Miscellaneous Resolution #11006 entitled Board of Commissioners – Mobile Food Vendors on County Campus. He also stated that Item d.: a Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Departments of Facilities Management and Information Technology – Request for Approval of License Agreement with the Rochester Community School District for Placement of Radio Communication Equipment will be referred to the Finance Committee. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Mel Larsen and Tim McGuire from the Michigan Association of Counties (MAC). Michigan Association of Counties - Legislative Consultant, Mel Larsen addressed the Caucus during public comment to give a presentation on the benefits of membership. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding Medical Marijuana. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding an upcoming proposed Miscellaneous Resolution for medical marijuana. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the process on Tri-Party Road program. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding the Tri-Party Road Improvement Program and stated that he would like to discuss changing the program rules, to improve the process. Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus regarding the Tri-Party Road Improvement/General Funding Program fund. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and requested that Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson give an update on the Oak Park bonding issue. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to announce the upcoming Children’s Village and Little Oaks tour on September 20th.
