Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Nuccio, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub, Weipert. (15) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: (0) Quorum present. Moved by Matis supported by Scott the minutes of the August 18, 2011 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus stating that the Finance Committee has no items to report on the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus to report that he does not see any problems with Planning and Building Committee items on the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus to report that he does not see any problems with Public Services Committee items on the Regular Agenda. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Oakland County Republican Party Chairman Jim Thienel. Oakland County Republic Party Chairman Jim Thienel addressed the Caucus to give an update on fundraising and the budget during public comment. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus requesting that all Caucus members contribute funds for the lawsuit regarding redistricting. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus regarding organizing a fundraiser, possibly scheduled for October to help raise money for the lawsuit. Discussion followed. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding organizing a fundraiser with Commissioner Matis, possibly scheduled for November to help raise money for the lawsuit. Discussion followed. Commissioner Matis addressed the Caucus regarding a fundraiser on September 27, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. to help raise money for the lawsuit. Discussion followed. Commissioner Dwyer addressed the Caucus regarding a fundraiser on October 27, 2011 to help raise money for the lawsuit. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus regarding the Oak Park bonding issue for the Municipal Buildings. Discussion followed. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus regarding the ‘Vaudeville To Video’ senior production in Novi, September 8 – 18 which she will be the Master of Ceremonies for and will be happy to make introductions of any Commissioners in attendance. Commissioner Gosselin addressed the Caucus regarding a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Supporting Employee Freedom to Work Act which he will refer to General Government Committee. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson. Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus regarding the Royal Oak Township Supervisor indictment and how it affects Oakland County. Discussion followed. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus regarding the vacancy of State Representative Tim Melton. Discussion followed. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus to invite Caucus members to the ‘Keys to Senior Transportation’, September 10, 2011, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the September 20, 2011 Children’s Village and Little Oaks tour and to remind the Caucus members, the importance of their attendance at the additional night Caucus meeting on September 20, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Discussion followed. August 31, 2011 441 Deputy County Executive, Bob Daddow addressed the Caucus regarding Land Bank concerns and stated that he will have a report available for Commissioners to review on September 12, and will be available to discuss any questions at the additional night Caucus meeting on September 20, 2011.
