Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub, Weipert. (14) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Nuccio, River. (2) Quorum present. Moved by Crawford supported by Bosnic the minutes of the October 3, 2012 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Republican Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Larry O’brecht, Manager of Animal Control. Larry O’brecht, Manager of Animal Control addressed the Caucus to discuss the concerns of the public regarding the operation of the Oakland County Animal Control department. Discussion followed. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated that the Finance Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus and stated that the General Government Committee has no issues with the item on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus and stated that the Human Resources Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus and stated that the Planning and Building Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus and stated that the Public Services Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated that the Finance Committee has no issues with the item on the Regular agenda. Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. October 18, 2012 668 Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus regarding MR #12252 entitled Resolution in Support of Pathways to Potential (P2P) Customer Centered Service Delivery Model for the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) and stated that an amendment will be offered to add Democratic Commissioner Mattie Hatchett as a sponsor. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus and stated that the Human Resources Committee has no issues with item f.: entitled Human Resources Department Fiscal Year 2013 – Fiscal Year 2015 Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees Represented by the Oakland County Employees Union (O.C.E.U.) on the Regular agenda and stated that he will refer it to the Finance Committee. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus and stated that the Planning and Building Committee has no issues with the items on the Regular Agenda and will refer all items to the Finance Committee. Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus and stated that the Public Services Committee has no issues with the items on the Regular Agenda and will refer all items to the appropriate committees. Republican Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that the minutes from the October 3, 2012 Board of Commissioners meeting will be amended to make a correction on MR #12115 entitled Board of Commissioners – Recommendation for Oakland County Discount Prescription and Health Benefit Provider to accept the Report. Discussion followed. Republican Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that the October 18, 2012 Agenda will be amended to remove item 11 to Reconsider MR #12215 entitled Board of Commissioners – Recommendation for Oakland County Discount Prescription and Health Benefit Provider. Discussion followed. Republican Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Policy Prohibiting Public Funds for Public Service Announcement Promoting the Name or Likeness of any Oakland County Government Official Within 60 Days of an Election that Democratic Commissioner Dave Woodward will be introducing and requesting suspension of the Board Rules for immediate consideration under New and Miscellaneous Business.
