Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Nuccio, Potts, River, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (15) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: (0) ARRIVED LATE: Weipert. (1) at 8:55 a.m. DEMOCRATIC COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Woodward, McGillivray. (2) Quorum present. Moved by Long supported by Nuccio the minutes of the May 2, 2012 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The following people addressed the Caucus during public comment: Deb Ohagen, Burke Cueny, Peggy Miller, Mary MacMaster, Diane Chrzanowski, Tom Schulz, Marlene Palicz, Joan Walton, Gene Gargaro, Reginald Turner, Rosanne Ponkowski, Peggy Falcon and Ron Odenwald. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated that the Finance Committee has no issues with the item on the Consent Agenda Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus and stated that the Planning and Building Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus and stated that the Public Services Committee has no issues with the items on the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated that the Finance Committee has no items to report on the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus regarding General Government item a.: on the Regular Agenda Miscellaneous Resolution #12034 entitled Board of Commissioners – Approval to Webcast Board of Commissioners’ Board and Committee Meetings and Continuation of Webcasting AD HOC Committee. May 17, 2012 346 Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding General Government item b.: on the Regular Agenda Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board; and introduced County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson. County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson addressed the Caucus regarding his support for General Government item b.: on the Regular Agenda Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board; and asked the Caucus for their support. Discussion followed. Commissioner Gosselin addressed the Caucus stating that he opposes Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board. Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus stating that she opposes Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus stating that he will be offering an amendment to Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board “Article 3”. Discussion followed. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus opposing Commissioner Scott amendment to Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board “Article 3”; and suggested a Special Board meeting to discuss the amendment. Discussion followed. Deputy County Executive, Gerald Poisson addressed the Caucus and requested that Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board be adopted as is. Discussion followed. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus opposing the Special Board meeting to discuss his amendment; and stated he will proceed with making a motion to amend Miscellaneous Resolution #12083 entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Art Institute Authority Board “Article 3”. Discussion followed. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus and stated that the Human Resources Committee has no items to report on the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus and stated that the Planning and Building Committee has no issues with the items on the Regular Agenda. Commissioner Gingell addressed Caucus and stated that he will be introducing three proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road Improvement Program Fiscal Year 2012 Appropriation – Charter Township of Orion – Indian Lake Road – Project No. 51392; and Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road Improvement Program Fiscal Year 2012 Appropriation – Charter Township of Oakland – Gravel Road Program – Project No. 51311; and Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Program for Road Improvements during New and Miscellaneous Business at the Board meeting and will be referring them to the Finance Committee. Commissioner Matis addressed the Caucus and stated that he will be introducing a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for Senate Bill 52 – Speed Limits of Unpaved Roads during New and Miscellaneous Business at the Board meeting and will refer it to the General Government Committee. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that she will be introducing a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Ballot Initiative for the Detroit/Windsor Bridge during New and Miscellaneous Business at the Board meeting and will refer it to the General Government Committee. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the department memo, and to remind the Commissioners that the next scheduled meeting will be on June 7, 2012 at 8:30 a.m.. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to acknowledge the Swearing in of Corporation Counsel, Judy Cunningham as the President of the Bar Association.
