Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Runestad, Scott, Spisz, Taub, Weipert. (14) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: (0) Quorum present. Moved by Gosselin supported by Long the minutes of the March 19, 2014 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. No one addressed the Caucus during public comment. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive and Robert Daddow, Deputy County Executive addressed the Caucus to give an update regarding the Detroit Water and Sewer Board. Discussion followed. Robert Daddow, Deputy County Executive, Timothy Soave, Manager Fiscal Services and Nancy Scarlet, Director of Human Resources addressed the Caucus to give an update on the budget process for 2015, 2016 and 2017. Discussion followed. David Hieber, Equalization Manager, addressed the Caucus regarding personal property tax. Discussion followed. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus to give Timothy Soave a thank you card and congratulated him on his retirement. Commissioner Spisz addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Vital Records Fee Study and stated that the resolution will be referred to the General Government Committee. Jim Nash, Water Resources Commissioner, addressed the Caucus to discuss Water Resources Pontiac renovation projects and upcoming resolutions. 124 Caucus Minutes Continued. Commissioner Quarles addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for Legislation Granting Property Tax Relief for Businesses Impacted by Severely Deteriorated Roads and stated that the resolution will be referred to the General Government Committee. Commissioner Runestad addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Recognition of National Corrections Officer Week – May 4-10, 2014 and stated he will be requesting suspension of the Board Rules for immediate consideration. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce two proposed Miscellaneous Resolutions entitled Board of Commissioners – Designation of the Week of Sunday, April 27, through Sunday, May 4, 2014, as Days of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust in Oakland County and Board of Commissioners – Designation of April 24, 2014 as Armenian Martyrs’ Day in Oakland County and stated she will be requesting suspension of the Board Rules for immediate consideration. Commissioner Dwyer addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Recognition of National Law Enforcement Officer Week – May 12-16, 2014 and stated he will be requesting suspension of the Board Rules for immediate consideration. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to announce that Commissioner Hatchett will be honored by the Women Officials’ Network (WON) on April 30th, 2014 and announced that the Caucus meeting and Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled for that day have been rescheduled to 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. respectively. Commissioner Taub encouraged the Commissioners to attend the event. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to announce that Health Screenings will be scheduled in the auditorium on April 25 and May 5, 2014. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the Finance Committee meeting that’s immediately following the Caucus meeting. Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus regarding the Women’s Advisory Board for Oakland County holding a free women veterans job and networking fair on May 16, 2014. Commissioner Long voiced concern over where the money was coming from. Commissioner Gingell stated he would look in to procedures. Discussion followed. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus to make an announcement regarding the Annual Marshmallow Drop to take place April 18, 2014 at 10:00am.
