Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Dwyer, Gosselin, Hoffman, Long, Matis, Middleton, Runestad, Scott, Spisz, Taub, Weipert. (12) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Crawford, Gingell. (2) Quorum present. Moved by Spisz supported by Gosselin the minutes of the April 17, 2014 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. No one addressed the Caucus during public comment. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to state that during the Board of Commissioners meeting Commissioner Dwyer will announce a public hearing for May 15, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. on the U.S. Department of Justice – Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant Application for FY 2014. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Long addressed the Caucus regarding General Government Committee item c.: entitled Board of Commissioners – Public Awareness and Education Forum for Women Veterans and stated that the event is a bi-partisan effort and requested the participation of her fellow Commissioners. Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive addressed the Caucus regarding General Government Committee item g.: entitled Act 196 Public Transportation Authority – Amendment to the Amended Articles of Incorporation of the Oakland County Public Transportation Authority Dated June 8, 1995 to provide clarity to the amendment. Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive addressed the Caucus regarding General Government Committee item h.: entitled Board of Commissioners – Authorizing Oakland County Public Transportation Authority Millage Question to be Placed on 2014 Election Ballot and gave an overview of the millage. Discussion followed. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Human Resources Department – Remove the Boiler Operator Classification from the Salary Administration Plan and Increase Salary and stated that he will refer the Resolution to the Finance Committee. 167 Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. April 30, 2014 Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the Women Officials’ Network (WON) honoring of Commissioner Mattie Hatchett on April 30th, 2014 and inquired about which Commissioners would be attending the event. Discussion followed. Greg Jamian, Oakland County Road Commission, addressed the Caucus to give a brief update on the Oakland County Road Commission. Discussion followed.
