Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bosnic, Crawford, Dwyer, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Matis, Middleton, Runestad, Scott, Spisz, Taub, Weipert. (13) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Long. (1) Quorum present. Moved by Dwyer supported by Spisz the minutes of the September 18, 2014 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that the Agenda will be amended to move Planning and Building Committee item a.: entitled Miscellaneous Resolution #14225 – Board of Commissioners – Analysis of Animal Control Shelter/Pet Adoption Center and Assessment of Facility Needs on the Consent Agenda to the Regular Agenda under the Planning and Building Committee. She also stated that there will be an amendment offered to the Resolution. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Commissioner Spisz. Commissioner Spisz addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #14202 – Board of Commissioners – Support of Rerouting the Proposed ET Rover Pipeline. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive. Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #14229 – Board of Commissioners – Adoption of Articles of Incorporation Establishing the Great Lakes Water Authority. Discussion followed. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #14229 – Board of Commissioners – Adoption of Articles of Incorporation Establishing the Great Lakes Water Authority; and to thank Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive, and Bob Daddow, Deputy County Executive for participating in the Community’s outreach. 527 Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. October 8, 2014 Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding Miscellaneous Resolution #14229 – Board of Commissioners – Adoption of Articles of Incorporation Establishing the Great Lakes Water Authority and stated that there will be an amendment offered during the Board meeting. Discussion followed. Commissioner Dwyer addressed the Caucus and stated that there will be a Public Services Committee meeting, immediately following the Caucus. Caucus Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Commissioner Gingell. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Funding for Safe and Healthy Kids Partnership with Oakland Schools to Provide Anti-Bullying Training for Educators and School Administrators and stated that he will refer the resolution to the Finance Committee. Discussion followed. Caucus Chairperson Shelly Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Resolution in Support of Amendments to the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and stated that it will be introduced by Commissioner Woodward during the Board meeting. Commissioner Scott addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Proclaiming November 2014 as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in Oakland County. Caucus Chairperson Shelly Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Jim VerPloeg, Administrative Director of Programs & Operations Analyst. Jim VerPloeg, Administrative Director of Programs & Operations Analyst addressed the Caucus to announce that the Re-Organizational Meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on November 18, 2014 at White Lake Oaks. Caucus Chairperson Shelly Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the two day informational event entitled: Learn about the Impact of Human Trafficking and stated that a Community Forum for Parents, Students and Public will be held on November 13, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. She also stated that there will be professional trainings held on November 14, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Oakland County Board of Commissioners’ Auditorium.
