Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Crawford, Dwyer, Fleming, Gingell, Gosselin, Hoffman, Kowall, Long, Matis, Middleton, Scott, Spisz, Taub, Weipert. (14) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: None. (0) Quorum present. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Ross Gavin, Deputy Treasurer. Ross Gavin, Deputy Treasurer, addressed the Caucus and stated the Treasurer’s Office is offering counseling to residents regarding delinquent taxes. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Commissioner Middleton. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated he is selling raffle tickets for the Clarkston Optimists’ Denim and Diamonds event which will take place March 7, 2015. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Commissioner Hoffman. Commissioner Hoffman addressed the Caucus and stated the Patrick Henry Event would be held by Patriot Week on March 26, 2015. Moved by Spisz supported by Dwyer the minutes of the January 29, 2015 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated there will be an amendment to the Agenda to move Human Resources Committee item a.: entitled Board of Commissioners – Appointments to the Job Evaluation Review Panel on the Regular Agenda to the General Government Committee as item f. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that Commissioner Weipert will be introducing a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Tri-Party Road Improvement Program Fiscal year 2015 Appropriation – Charter Township of Milford – Resurfacing of Milford Road – Project No. 51561. She also stated that he will refer the resolution to the Finance Committee. 40 Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. February 18, 2015 Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus and stated that the new Board of Commissioners’ Analyst, Connie Srogi, would begin work on March 9, 2015. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to announce the next Board of Commissioners’ Meeting will take place on March 18, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus and stated the annual Youth and Government Day will take place on April 27, 2015. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus to introduce a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Amendment to Fiscal Year 2015 General Appropriations Act and 2015 County General Property Tax Rates – Millage Reduction and stated he will refer the resolution to the Finance Committee. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus and stated Commissioner Woodward will be introducing a proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Initiate Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program Countywide to Assist Oakland County Businesses and Green Investment. He also stated that he will refer the Resolution to the Planning and Building Committee. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding a proposal to eliminate mailing costs by providing Commissioners with the option of an iPad tablet. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding a contract with outside Counsel Rich Poling and will be introducing a resolution. The Democratic Caucus entered for a joint Caucus meeting. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to introduce Joellen Shortley, Corporation Counsel, Ross Gavin, Deputy Treasurer, and Dave Hieber, Manager of Equalization. Joellen Shortley, Corporation Counsel, Ross Gavin, Deputy Treasurer, and Dave Hieber, Manager of Equalization, addressed the Caucus to give a presentation on the Policy for Review and Potential Participation in Downtown Development Authorities, Corridor Improvement Authorities, and Local Development Financing Authorities.
