Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Berman, Crawford, Dwyer, Fleming, Gingell, Hoffman, Kochenderfer, Kowall, Long, Middleton, Spisz, Taub, Tietz, Weipert. (14) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: None. (0) Quorum present. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to remind the Commissioners that there are still tickets available for the Annual Lincoln Day Dinner being held on May 7, 2018 at the Troy Marriot. Moved by Fleming supported by Tietz the minutes of the March 21, 2018 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Fleming addressed the Caucus regarding the General Government Committee recommendation for the Jury Board Appointment. Discussion followed. Kathy Forzley, Director, Health and Human Services addressed the Caucus regarding area wildlife and rabies. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the Suspension List. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus regarding the increasing number of resolutions being introduced under New Business and requesting Suspension of the Board Rules. Discussion followed. Commissioner Spisz addressed the Caucus and stated that he will work with Chris Ward, Board of Commissioners Administration Director, Program and Operational Analyst on rules regarding the Suspension List. Chris Ward, Board of Commissioners Administration Director, Program and Operational Analyst addressed the Caucus and stated that the Board can do a Voice Vote on Suspension of the Board Rules, followed by a Roll Call vote on the resolution. Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. April 19, 2018 188 Jim Nash, Water Resources Commissioner addressed the Caucus to talk about new legislation being proposed in Lansing regarding lead exposure in water systems. Kathy Forzley, Director, Health and Human Services addressed the Caucus regarding compliance testing for lead exposure in homes. Discussion followed. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding the Parks and Recreation Commission and the timing of their next millage proposal. Discussion followed. Chris Ward, Board of Commissioners Administration Director, Program and Operational Analyst addressed the Caucus regarding items on the Caucus Memo. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to inform the Commissioners that there will be a Finance Committee meeting immediately after Caucus and the Pinwheel Ceremony honoring Child Abuse Prevention Month will be held at 9:15 a.m. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus to acknowledge the work of the Board of Commissioners staff.
