Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Berman, Crawford, Dwyer, Fleming, Hoffman, Kochenderfer, Kowall, Long, Middleton, Spisz, Taub, Tietz, Weipert. (13) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Gingell. (1) Quorum present. Commissioner Fleming addressed the Caucus to introduce Tom Kuhn, Candidate for County Commissioner 11th District. Moved by Fleming supported by Kowall the minutes of the August 9, 2018 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Dwyer addressed the Caucus regarding a new proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled: Sheriff’s Office – Creation of Positions for Security at the Water Resources Commissioner’s Office. He stated that he will request the resolution be referred to the Human Resources Committee and the Finance Committee. Commissioner Crawford addressed the Caucus regarding a new proposed Miscellaneous Resolution entitled: Board of Commissioners – Recognizing September 2018 as National Hispanic Heritage Month that he will be introducing tonight. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the Caucus Memo. Mike Andrews, Senior Board of Commissioners Analyst addressed the Caucus regarding an opportunity in the Board of Commissioners office for a college intern. Discussion followed. Commissioner Berman addressed the Caucus regarding the Election Ad-Hoc Committee. Discussion followed. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus regarding the Library Board. Discussion followed. August 22, 2018 674 Commissioner Spisz addressed the Caucus regarding the Oakland County Human Trafficking Task Force news conference scheduled for Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Common Ground. Chairperson Shelley Taub addressed the Caucus to remind them that the Senior Advisory Breakfast is being held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Older Persons Commission in Rochester. Malcolm Brown, Deputy County Executive and Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive addressed the Caucus regarding retirement issues and indigent defense legislation. Discussion followed.
