Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Berman, Crawford, Dwyer, Fleming, Gingell, Hoffman, Kochenderfer, Kowall, Long, Middleton, Spisz, Taub, Weipert. (13) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Tietz. (1) Quorum present. Mark Newman, Director, Public Services addressed the Caucus regarding the Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center. Moved by Middleton supported by Long the minutes of the September 27, 2018 Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. The members of the Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Hoffman addressed the Caucus regarding Human Resources Committee item a.: entitled Human Resources Department - Fiscal Years 2019, 2020 and 2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees Represented by the Michigan American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 25, Local 2437, Representing Circuit Court/Family Court Employees. He stated the resolution will be referred to the Finance Committee. Chris Ward, Board of Commissioners Administration Director, Program and Operational Analyst addressed the Caucus regarding the Caucus Memo and the Suspension List. Commissioner Berman addressed the Caucus regarding two new proposed resolutions that he will be introducing tonight entitled: Board of Commissioners – Request the Michigan Legislature Reinstate Political Party Logo/Vignettes on Election Ballots and Board of Commissioners – Request the Secretary of State Provide Access to Absentee Voter Data in the Qualified Voter File to Oakland County Elections Division. He stated the resolutions will be referred to the General Government Committee. Commissioner Gingell addressed the Caucus regarding the establishment of a School Breakfast Program Special Committee to study Oakland County’s participation in the Universal School Breakfast Program and an extension of the contract with Oakland Schools for the prevention of school bullying. He also discussed the current road work in Lake Orion. Republican Caucus Minutes Continued. October 10, 2018 762 Commissioner Middleton addressed the Caucus regarding a new proposed miscellaneous resolution he will introduce tonight entitled: Board of Commissioners – Designation of November 15, 2018 as World Pancreatic Cancer Day in Oakland County. He stated the resolution will be referred to the General Government Committee. Two guests from Milford High School, Gavin Gardner and Connor Meadows addressed the Caucus to introduce themselves. Dan Stencil, Executive Officer, Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission addressed the Caucus regarding the BMX bike track at Waterford Oaks County Park. Discussion followed.
