Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Crawford, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin, Jacobsen, Long, Potts, Rogers, Scott. (10) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Kowall, Middleton, Potter. (3) Quorum present. Moved by Crawford supported by Gingell the minutes of the May 8, 2008 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. Commissioner Bullard thanked the Caucus for their support at the Roast held in honor of L. Brooks Patterson, County Executive. Larry Doyle, Administrative Director for BOC, addressed the Caucus regarding a Zoological Authority update. Deputy County Clerk/Register of Deeds Jim VanLeuven read a communication from L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive, appointing Philip A. Incarnati and Jeffrey Hauswirth as his representatives on the Oakland County Zoological Authority Board with Richard Strenger and Jody McLeod as alternate representatives. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Commissioner Scott introduced a proposed resolution entitled BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – PROHIBIT REIMBURSEMENT TO COMMISSIONERS FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS, MEMBERSHIPS AND COMMUNITY EVENTS. Commissioner Scott introduced a proposed resolution entitled BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – SET COMMISSIONERS’ ANNUAL COMPENSATION FOR 2009 AND 2010. Judy Cunningham, Corporation Counsel, addressed the Board regarding a lawsuit Oakland County has filed against DHS. Commissioner Bullard, on behalf of Caucus Chairperson Eileen Kowall, introduced a proposed resolution entitled BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – ESTABLISHING A STUDY GROUP TO RECOMMEND A GOVERNMENT RELATIONS CONSULTING FIRM. Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive, addressed the Caucus regarding a proposal for the Merit System and answered questions regarding alternative work schedules. Samantha Steckloff, Miss Oakland County 2007, addressed the Caucus. The Republican Caucus adjourned at 9:24 a.m. until June 12, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. RUTH JOHNSON EILEEN KOWALL Clerk Caucus Chairperson
