REPUBLICAN CAUCUS MINUTES
November 20, 2008
Meeting called to order by Republican Caucus Chairperson Eileen Kowall at 8:42 a.m. in the Courthouse
Committee Room A, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Clark, Crawford, Douglas, Gingell,
Gosselin, Jacobsen, Kowall, Long, Middleton, Potter, Potts, Scott. (13)
EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Rogers. (1)
Quorum present.
Moved by Gosselin supported by Crawford the minutes of the November 6, 2008 Republican Caucus be
approved.
A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved.
There was no public comment.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda.
Commissioner Middleton introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for
Senate Bill 1390 – Allowing County Registers of Deeds to Determine Mortgage Foreclosure Redemption
Payments.
Commissioner Potts addressed the Caucus.
Commissioner Clark addressed the Caucus.
Democratic Commissioner Coleman introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners -
Support for the American Auto Industry.
Gerald Poisson, Deputy County Executive, addressed the Caucus regarding Cobo Hall, Transit and
Aerotropolis.
Discussion followed.
Robert Daddow, Deputy County Executive, addressed the Caucus.
Kenny Van Horn, Chairman of the Waterford Democratic Club, addressed the Caucus and thanked
County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson for his comments in the paper and for his strong support.
The Republican Caucus adjourned at 9:25 a.m. until December 11, 2008, at 8:30 a.m.
