REPUBLICAN CAUCUS MINUTES
January 8, 2009
Meeting called to order by Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen at 7:15 p.m. in the
Courthouse Committee Room A, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
Roll called.
REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Capello, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin,
Jacobsen, Long, Middleton, Potter, Potts, Runestad, Scott, Taub. (13)
EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: None. (0)
DEMOCRATIC COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Burns, Coleman, Coulter, Gershenson, Greimel,
Hatchett, Jackson, McGillivray, Nash, Woodward, Zack. (11)
Quorum present.
There was no public comment.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the appointment and postponing the appointment to
the Road Commission.
Democratic Commissioner Marcia Gershenson introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – Continuation of the Women’s Commission for Oakland County.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Rules of Suspension.
Democratic Commissioner Helaine Zack introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of
Commissioners – Re-Establish Oakland County Seniors Study Group.
The Republican Caucus discussed changing the membership in the Parks and Recreation Commission.
The members of the Republican Caucus discussed removing the appointment to the Road Commission
from the Appointments to Various Boards, Commissions and Authorities Report.
The Republican Caucus adjourned at 7:54 p.m. until January 22, 2009, at 8:30 a.m.
