Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Roll called. REPUBLICAN COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bullard, Capello, Douglas, Gingell, Gosselin, Jacobsen, Long, Middleton, Potter, Potts, Runestad, Scott. (12) EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH NOTICE: Taub. (1) Quorum present. Moved by Gosselin supported by Middleton the minutes of the March 5, 2009 Republican Caucus be approved. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the minutes were approved. There was no public comment. Commissioner Bullard addressed the Republican Caucus regarding amending the Board of Commissioners meeting schedule to include night meetings. The members of the Republican Caucus discussed the Board Agenda. Democratic Commissioner Janet Jackson introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for the Serve America Act. Republican Commissioner David Potts introduced two proposed resolutions for Commissioner Shelley Taub, who was absent, entitled Board of Commissioners – Support for Legislation to Give Overseas Military Personnel Enough Time to Vote and for Their Vote to Be Counted, and Board of Commissioners – Supports Educating Mobile Telephone Users to Store “In Case of Emergency” (“ICE”) Listings on Their Devices. Republican Commissioner Sue Ann Douglas introduced a proposed resolution entitled Board of Commissioners – Proclaiming March 2009 as Women’s History Month in Oakland County. Republican Caucus Chairperson Bradford Jacobsen reminded the Caucus that Thursday, April 23, 2009 is Youth in Government Day. Larry Doyle, Board of Commissioners Administrative Director, stated that “Seniors Need Help” cards are available in his office.
