I received an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and am a registered professional engineer in the State of Michigan. During my career. I was involved in the Vehicle Recycling Consortium {a subset of USCAR). We investigated many emerging technologies for the processing of automotive shredder residue. These same technologies are also applicable to residential and commercial waste streams. I also have an MBA and am familiar with business processes. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 1971 — 1975 Entry Engineering Position Chrysler Cooling Systems Engineering — Co-developed analytical methodology to evaluate new vehicle front end designs for system airflow. 1975 — 1978 Research Engineer Amoco Oil R&D Prepared yield and economic estimates for licensing proposals for various proprietary refining technologies including catalytic cracking and reforming. 1978 — 1984 Engineer Ford Motor Held various engineering assignments including Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) strategy, Wiring Systems Engineering and Fuel Systems Development 1984 — 2006 DaimlerChrysler Supervised Cooling Systems Engineering Advanced Design Group of approximately 20 individuals including union represented employees. Managed the design and development group for fuel, exhaust and cooling systems for the minivan program. A complete product cycle from concept to vehicle launch occurred. Management of the system functional, cost, weight, quality and investment objectives was accomplished. For the last eight years, managed a group of approximately 30 material science experts as Senior Manager of Organic Materials Engineering. The Department was responsible for providing materials science expertise to all product programs.
