IN RE: ADOPTION OF RULES FOR THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The General Government Committee, having reviewed the proposed
rules for the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, hereby recommends
the adoption of the attached rules as the permanent Rules for the Oakland
County Board of Commissioners.
Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I move
the acceptance of the foregoing report.
GENERAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE
Copy of Rules for Oakland County Board of Commissioners on file in
County Clerk's office.
Moved by Jensen supported by Pernick the Report (Adoption of Rules
for the Oakland County Board of Commissioners) be accepted.
Moved by Jensen supported by Pernick the report be amended in the
Rules for Oakland County Board of Commissioners as follows:
Page 4, Part IX. COMMITTEE OPERATIONS, B., in the first sentence,
after the work "quorum", add the words "to convene or conduct a committee
meeting." so the sentence would read: "A majority of each Committee
shall constitute a quorum to convene or conduct a committee meeting.";
and
Page 7, (5) add the words "and/" after the words "by law" so the
sentence reads:
"The Finance Committee or its designated staff shall have
access to all budget and financial documents or data which
shall be available to the Board of Commissioners as required
by law and/or by the General Appropriations Act."; and
Page 12, F., delete the remainder of the paragraph after the first
sentence" and add "The Personnel Committee shall attach its report to the
suggested resolution and forward the report and resolution to the Board."
A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion to amend
carried.

AYES: Garfield, Gosling, Huntoon, Jensen, Johnson, Kaczmar,
Kingzett, Law, McCulloch, McPherson, Miltner, Moffitt, Obrecht, Palmer,
Pernick, Powers, Price, Schmid, Taub, Wolf, Crake, Dingeldey, Douglas.

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the Rules, as amended,
were adopted.
