IN RE: APPOINTMENT OF JOAN TAYLOR NEWBY TO COMMISSIONER DISTRICT 6
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The General Government Committee recommends the appointment of Joan
Taylor Newby to Commissioner District No. 6 to fill the remainder of the
term scheduled to expire December 31, 1994.
Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I move
acceptance of the foregoing report.
GENERAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE
Moved by Jensen supported by Garfield the report be accepted.
A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the report was
accepted.
Commissioner Schmid nominated Joan Taylor Newby for the office of
County Commissioner, District #6, for the unexpired term expiring
December 31, 1994. Supported by Garfield.
Commissioner Aaron nominated Walter Moore. Supported by Kingzett.
Moved by Garfield supported by Schmid the nominations be closed.
A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion carried.

Joan Taylor Newby as County Commissioner, District #6, for the unexpired
term ending December 31, 1994, was confirmed.
