Salary (.7rades 1 - 21 provides a ..r.-J,e3r3 for departmen and omployees to request a review
of the salary grade placement _:_assificatin's; one
WHEREAS the 1 Quarterly Rcp for FY 2::C='. l•=tifies the job studies conducted
and the saary grade changec re=mended by he onan Resources Department after
completion of this review proc.::; and
WHEREAS funding is avaible in the Clituation and Rate Change fund to

Chairperson, Ladies and Gentiemon:
Pursuant to Rule XiI-C of this P,oard, the Finance Committee has reviewed the
above referenced resolution and finds:
1) The Human Resources DenarLment, with approval from the Board of
Commissioners, provt.des a process for departments and employees requesting
a review of the salary grade placement classifications for Grades 1 - 21.
2) One (1) General Fund Maintenance Planner 17 pG5itiOn in Facilities
Engineering - Administre,tion will be upgraded from a grade 11 to a grade
12, at an annual cost of and $2,179 to: the remainder of FY 2008 in
salaries and fringe benefits, and reclassified as a. Construction Planner.
3) One (1) General Purpose Tund (Health Fund) laboratory Supervisor in the
Health/LaboraLory will be upgraded from a grade 12 to a grade 13, at an
annual cost of 1-4,942 and2,091 for the remainder of FY 2008 in salaries
and fringe benefits.
4) The Clerks-Election CIvision will have Lee to:lowing position
classification changes:
Director - Elootions will be upgraded from, a grade 15 to a grade 16, at
an annual cos:. of $5,582 and $2,361 for the remainder of FY 2008 in
salaries and fringe benefits.
One (1) Election Specialist position will be upgraded from a grade 13 to
a grade 11, at an ann',:al cost of $4,0E2 and $1,727 for the remainder of
FY 2008 in salaries and fringe benefits.
One (1) Election Specialist position will be upgraded from a grade 10 to
a grade 11, at an annual cost of $3,711 ant $1,170 for the remainder of
FY 2008 in salaries and fringe benefits, and retitled as Communications
Specialist - Clerk/Roister of Deods.
One Cl) Office Leader will position will be ungraded from a grade 7 to a
grade 9, at an annual cost of $2,325 and .984 for the remainder of FY
2008 in salaries and fringe benefits, and retitled as Assistant Elections
Specialist.
5) One (1) User Support :3?ecia1ist II in Clerks/Register of Deeds /
Administration will be upgraded from a grade 12 to a grade 13 at an annual
cost of $4,942 and $2,091 for the remainder of FY 2008 in salaries and
fringe benefits, and reclassified as a f'la Elcu,7dary Review Specialist.
6) The following positions will be titled, with no change in salary grade:
One (1) Chief Technical Services position in Information Technology/e-
Government to Chief - eGovernment Servicc5
One (1) CIS/CAD Technician =I position In Drain Commissioner/CIS &
Mapping Services to Drain - 015/CAD Techhi.::lan II
Eleven (11) GS/CA D Technician I position Drain Commissioner/Survey
and Drain Commssloher/GIS & Mapping Services 7_o Drain - GIS/CAD
Technician I positions.
he classification changes and upgrades will be effective April 12, 2008.
