MISCELLANEOUS RESOLION #08279

IN RE: PROSECUTING ATTORNEY TRANSITION EXPENSE
To the Oakland Ccj:r ojrc of CommissAoners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS as a resYrt of the November 4, 2008 election,
Oakland County will be serYed by a new ?rosecuting ,
Attorney; and
WHEREAS it is 3dvisable for the PLosecuting•Attorney .-
.Elect begin assembling the personnel and materials
'necessary to fully asume the responsibilities of office on
January 1, 2009; and •
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of Oakland county
government and its citizens that the transition of
leadership from the current Prosecuting Attorney to next
occur as efficiently as possible; and
WHEREAS the transition can best be accbmplished
through the establishment of a transitbn account through ,
which appropriate contractual services can be accessed; and
WHEREAS the estimated (....ost of said contractual
services is $15,030.
NOW THEREFORE 3E :7 RESOLVED that tne Oakland County
3oard of Commissioners supports an appropriation of $15,300
for the period throucri December 31, 20C, to cover the
transition expenses or the Oakland County Prosecuting
Attorney-Elect.
BE IT FURTHER P•I=VED that tLne approval of this •
request be consistent with Management and Budget and Human
Resources departments' procedures of Miscellaneous
Resolutions #92242, V76267, #00304 and 404337, establishing
previous transition expenses.

IN RE: PROSECUTING ATTORNEY TRANSITION EXPENSE
To The Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XI-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above
referenced resolution and finds:
1. The resolution authorizes an allocation of $15,000 to cover transition expenses of
the Prosecuting Attorney-Elect.
2. Funds are available in the Non-Departmental Contingency account to cover this
expense.
3. A budget amendment to the FY 2009 Adopted Budget is recommended as
follows:
